Plant-based DHA

vitaMedMD Plus Rx features 300 mg of plant based DHA. Our plant-based DHA comes from highly-purified algal oil, a pure, potent source of DHA derived from algae.
Benefit: DHA supports healthy fetal neural development1, including cognitive health and attention span2, and hand/eye coordination.3*

Folic Acid

vitaMedMD Plus Rx features 400 mg of folic acid.

Benefit: Folic acid supports healthy development of the brain, spine, and spinalcord4,5 – building a strong foundation for baby’s growth.6*

Quatrefolic (4th generation folate):

600 mg as ((6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid, glucosamine salt)

Benefit: Some pregnant women have MTHFR polymorphisms, the inability to fully metabolize folic acid into its active form.

Quatrefolic is equivalent to the active form of folic acid. If you have this condition, this form of quatrefolic may be easier for you and your baby to absorb folate – helping to minimize your baby’s risk of developing birth defects of the brain or spinal cord.5*

Testimonials

One of my patients was so excited and shocked by how easy vitaCare was to use and said she didn't get the "run-around" she usually experiences at her local pharmacy. She was even more excited about the fact that she had a $0 co-pay for her vitaPearl prenatal!

One of my patients who uses vitaCare came to me and said, “It is nice to get the prescription in the mail instead of having to wait in line at the pharmacy.”

Proprietary Ingredients

4th generation folate

Quatrefolic is a 4th generation folate that is structurally equivalent to the active form of folic acid.

Key Benefits of Quatrefolic:

  • Recognized GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe), an FDA designation of safety

Both building a strong foundation for your baby’s development and growth.

The Importance of Folic Acid During Pregnancy:

Folic acid is a B vitamin that helps reduce the risk of neural tube defects1,2 and supports healthy DNA synthesis and cell division3, building a healthy foundation for your baby’s development and growth.
